Introducing Belgium
Welcome to Belgium, a beautiful European country settling in between France, Germany, and the Netherlands. Belgium is known around the world for its medieval towns (my personal favorite aspect), exquisite chocolates, and famous waffles. Brussels is the capital of Belgium and is home to the Atomium which is one of many fantastical landmarks. Belgium is home to the European Union headquarters which adds to the relevance of the country. Whether you are indulging in amazing pralines, exploring medieval architecture, or visiting the statues, Belgium offers a unforgettable journey.
Differences between hazards, disasters and catastrophes:
Firstly hazards, disasters and catastrophes are all terms that are used to describe risk and emergency's. Each describes different aspect of events that effect people. Hazards represent potential danger that can be natural and man made. Disasters emerge when hazards become destructive and harm a community. Catastrophes are a type of disaster that has extreme severity by causing massive widespread damage. Simply speaking hazards are potential danger which leads to disasters that originate from hazards and catastrophes are extreme disasters with many casualties.
